This policy explains what data the VellumCG mobile app handles — and, just as importantly, what it does not.
VellumCG is a client app. It has no backend of its own, collects no analytics, and runs no advertising or tracking of any kind. The data you enter or upload goes to one place only: the server your own organization operates (your “hub”). We, the developer of VellumCG, never receive it, see it, or store it.
VellumCG is a professional broadcast character-generator (CG) operator app used by TV production staff to build and air on-screen graphics — lower-third stripes, supers, credits, phoner boxes, social/WhatsApp cards, and memorial cards — during a live broadcast. It is not a consumer app and is not directed at the general public.
VellumCG is server-agnostic: it does not connect to any single company’s servers. On first launch, you enter the address of your organization’s own VellumCG server (its “hub URL”) and an operator secret your organization issues you. From that point on, the app is a window into that server — every template, playlist, piece of branding, and on-air state comes from the hub you configured, not from us.
The hub is chosen, deployed, and operated by your own organization (for example, your broadcaster’s IT/engineering team) — not by the developer of VellumCG. The developer does not host, operate, or have access to any customer’s hub, and does not receive, store, or process any data that flows between the app and your hub. Your organization is solely responsible for that server and for its own data-handling practices; this policy covers only the VellumCG app itself.

None of the above is sent to the developer of VellumCG, to any analytics or advertising company, or to any server other than the hub URL you configured. There is no “phone home” to a developer-operated backend of any kind.
VellumCG requests exactly one device permission:
VellumCG is a professional broadcast production tool intended for television operators, producers, and directors. It is not directed at children, is not designed to appeal to children, and the developer does not knowingly collect any information from children. Because the developer collects no personal data at all, no children’s data is collected under any circumstance.
If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will be revised and material changes reflected here. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
